About The Teal Foundation
The Teal Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was founded by the DeSimone family in October of 2014. Our biggest fundraiser, The Teal Run, has raised over $500,000 in the last 9 years that has helped to fund cutting edge research for ovarian cancer as well as support services for women who are diagnosed with the disease.
We attempt to keep our operating costs at a minimum so that the maximum amount of donations raised will go towards the furtherance of our mission.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support research for the treatment of ovarian cancer, including the development of a reliable diagnostic test to detect the disease in its early stages, and to fund agencies that provide support services for women and their families dealing with ovarian cancer.
Our Vision
We hope in the future that ovarian cancer will be a thing of the past. We don't want this devastating disease to affect one more woman, one more family. Until there is a cure we are committed to funding research for an early detection test as well as supporting women and families affected by ovarian cancer.
